Integrated Systems Provide Solutions
Integrated Systems Provide Solutions
A Technotribe client publishes three magazines monthly. Prior to hiring Technotribe, publishing each magazine was a laborious process that required 55 individual steps for input, reviews and approvals. Then a separate time-consuming process was followed to manually update the content on corresponding web sites.
Technotribe partnered with our client to understand and streamline the work-flow process. Then, we recommended and implemented of two new systems: Woodwing and Drupal.
Woodwing Content Station allows content creators to create new articles online. Because each step of the process is managed online, the publisher has a real-time view of progress. Furthermore, magazine layout (linked to Adobe InDesign) can occur in tandem with content creation instead of in sequence. This greatly improved our client's publishing efficiency.
Drupal Content Management System (CMS) is used to manage all web site content. Because Drupal and Woodwing are connected, when an article is approved, it automatically can be published to Drupal as well as the web site.
To enhance the user experience, the web sites were given design facelifts. Dynamic navigational elements were added to allow the user to drill down into content in multiple ways: by author, publication, category or content type.
Technotribe strives to be more than just a creative or technical implementer. Technotribe strives to be a solution-provider for our clients.

Strategic Paid Search Campaigns
Strategic Paid Search Campaigns
The internal marketing team of one of Technotribe's clients launched their own paid search campaign. They spent significant money but reaped little success. We convinced them to give us one month to prove that we could increase their results.
The results were dramatic:
- 103% increase in click-through rate.
- 62% decrease in paid search costs.
- 47% increase in conversion rate (visit to lead).
- Higher qualified leads due to more effective targeting.
- ROI in less than a month!
With the significant paid search cost savings, we are now expanding into additional paid search options, including Remarketing, Google Display Network, and Facebook. Each of these paid search campaigns lower their cost per click and round out their overall strategy.
So what issues did we resolve that resulted in success?
- Only one ad group was being used for a very diverse set of keywords
- Every keyword was set to "broad match."
- No ad supervision or updates were implemented.
- There were missing key performance features.
- Reallocated budget away from mobile which was disproportionately funded and underperforming.
We continue to work with our client to analyze their overall search engine marketing strategy as we expand and manage their ongoing paid search campaigns. Read our recent blog post for additional details.

Educational Cost Calculator
Technotribe was asked to create an interactive educational cost calculator to help students understand their costs and potential financial aid, including scholarships, they could use to pay for their degree program. The client's marketing team had a vision for a user-friendly, engaging tool that supported the brand. The client IT team had the tools to supply the dynamic data to ensure that the calculations are up-to-date financial information. Technotribe helped merge the technologies and vision into an easy-to-use tool. This calculator allows the student to see how different aid types reduce their costs. At the end of the calculator, the student can view the one year or total program financial aid estimate, download a copy of the results, as well as upload for use during the enrollment process. The end result: building customer loyalty by bringing marketing and IT together to create an intuitive, branded tool that provides needed information to the user in real time.

Whether roasted red pepper spaghetti or peach cobbler with orange blossom yogurt, Meezmeals.com preps all the ingredients, so customers can quickly prepare gourmet home-cooked meals.

Train 5,000 Employees for Hospital Move
http://www.luriechildrens.org/en-us/Pages/default.aspx
Technotribe, in partnership with Cedar Interactive, designed, developed and implemented a comprehensive training program for the 5,000 employees, physicians, nurses and volunteers of Children's Memorial Hospital of Chicago who were transitioning to a new facility. To ensure readiness upon the opening of the new Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, each staff member needed to be fully trained in wayfinding, equipment use, communication systems, safety, customer service and many other topics. Technotribe provided the overall project management for this wide-ranging training program Moment One Readiness Orientation (MORO), with Cedar Interactive providing the instructional design.
Through multiple learning methods, including guided building orientations, online learning, equipment learning labs, departmental tours and incident simulations, end users received training tailored by role. Custom learning paths allowed individuals to track their progress through MORO via Lurie Children's We Learn" online education management system.
At the conclusion of the training, nearly 19,000 individual trips to the new hospital had been completed, meeting the requirements of building and department orientations, on-site equipment labs and simulations, and more than 99% of employees, physicians, nurses and volunteers had completed their full learning paths, including over 20 custom online courses. All of the training design, development and implementation was completed on schedule and nearly $100,000 under budget.

Integrated Registration Application
Direct Medical Data wanted to improve client-side website visitor identifications, including identification across multiple sites. Technotribe designed, developed and launched the Lightbox online registration and user identification application for this targeted data provider. Designed to enhance online marketing and relationship-building strategies for Direct Medical Data and their clients, the application works across a full range browsers and operating systems, including mobile devices. It seamlessly integrates with existing systems, technologies and databases, increasing flexibility and improving cross-site identification of registered users.
Customizable content layout features (via CSS) in the application allow Direct Medical Data's end clients to integrate the look and feel of the login/registration window with their current site designs. Dynamic response capabilities are populated via a query against DMD's SOAP service, allowing for multiple revisions to selection lists without redeployment of the code each time a revision occurs. The application allows Direct Medical Data and their clients to track registered site visitors across multiple affiliate sites, via a cohesive first party cookie approach that was not possible with previous versions of the application. The application is currently in place and working to specification on many of Direct Medical Data's client sites.

For example, each artist page feeds in that artist's news, concerts, albums, merchandise, samples, videos and more. This content also appears dynamically in other relevant pages. Kendall College Web Site
Using their existing Content Management System, Technotribe redesigned the Kendall College web site using the school's new branding. The existing 300+ page site was very text heavy with a lot of duplicate content, making it necessary to reorganize and remove redundant content based on data drawn from site analytics and feed content from a single source into multiple pages. An emphasis was placed on "showing" rather than "telling," with the inclusion of an interactive virtual tour, integration with social media, testimonial and highlight videos and visual call-outs, as well as on lead generation, with specific PPC landing pages created to help drive leads.

Design, Mobile and Conversion
Drawing significant traffic to three websites that support their trade publications, TMB Publishing was looking to enhance website functionality, increase mobile-user engagement and improve ad banners implementation to further monetize the sites. Technotribe created a bold, new design for the family of sites, intuitively organizing content and more clearly delineating ad banners. The result? 145% increase of traffic in the first year.
To address the lack of a content management system (CMS) and regular maintenance, Technotribe created sophisticated PHP processing during development to convert the 15,000+ pages to the new design and functionality. By employing a sniffer and mobile stylesheets, all three sites may be viewed in a mobile environment.
Additionally, Technotribe also created monthly snapshot reports for TMB Publishing that combine site analytics from Google Analytics, QR code reporting and ad banner reporting. This ongoing analysis has been essential in ongoing site revisions.

Laureate Education manages pay-per-click campaigns for several colleges in their network. Technotribe developed and now hosts 17 custom microsites that act as landing pages for AdWords campaigns. In order to increase conversions and improve follow up, Technotribe has implemented the following:
- Real-time integration with StrikeIron enables automatic population of city and state on the form after ZIP code is entered. StrikeIron also flags invalid U.S. ZIP codes and allows for an international form with different validation.
- Stringent form validation requirements using JQuery provides immediate feedback on invalid data.
- "Honeypot" technical solution eliminates spam without adding a challenge-response test field like CAPTCHA, improving lead quality without decreasing conversion.
- Real-time processing of leads into two different CRM systems allows for immediate follow up as well as back-up to ongoing log files.
- Parsing and capturing tracking data from the referring URL (Google/Yahoo/Bing) as well as the linking URL and passing it along to the CRM system provides key data on each lead, such as search keyword used.
- Shared form processing and logic between subdomains allows for ease of maintenance.
